Iyengar Yoga is a method developed by BKS Iyengar and maintained by his family lineage directly from India. It is a thorough and safe system for all, with a focus on alignment and precise detail.

Teachers are trained to a very high standard and are committed to maintaining the tradition, honouring the ancestors of this art and science.

Whether you're a beginner or experienced, classes are designed to cater to all levels. Suitable for beginners and those with experience. Classes are structured, fun and safe, a mixture of movement, reflection and rest, with emphasis on sequence so you benefit deeply from the asanas (postures). Facilitated by a qualified and experienced yoga teacher who will guide you through various yoga poses and breathing exercises, helping you improve your flexibility, strength, and mental well-being… Join our yoga community and embark on a journey of self-discovery and inner peace.

Remembering the natural rhythms and cycles of what we are and remaining connected to all that is. YOGA is a transformational process taking you on a journey from the external physical body inwards to the very source of the self.

With gratitude to my inspirational mentors and teachers in the lineage of Iyengar family tradition going right back to sage Patanjali for being able to share this wonderous practise.

As a devoted life long practitioner, to have been encouraged and further qualified in this rigorous system, trained and taught to exceptional standards is truly an honour and a gift which I am passionate to share with those that come along on the journey.

Yoga is a subject like any other; learn it, practise, refine, go deeper.

From ancient lineage, the Science, through precision and alignment, and the Art, through individual expression, combine.

"I've been attending Sadie's Tuesday evening Iyengar Yoga class for a year now and I find them to be an excellent space to learn how to stretch the body I actually have! Iyengar is an accurate and clear line of yoga and we use loads of equipment, props and supports to make each pose the right amount of stretch for each person.
